Katherine is…
a Mom first of six children (four step sons who she loves as her own) and two daughters who she is tremendously grateful and blessed to have. She is the wife of a patient, hard working man, and wonderful Dad, Tony. Katherine grew up in Southern Maryland on the Chesapeake Bay in between two farms, but only an hour from Washington, D.C. the hub of politics. Katherine has a passion for politics. Katherine resided in Charlotte, North Carolina for 22 years and then moved to Belmont, NC in 2019.
Katherine has an enthusiasm for historic preservation, serving the community, particularly veterans, families, women and children through the Daughters of the American Revolution Society where she has been a member since 2021 and served as the Chair of the Literacy Promotion Committee, the Women’s Committee, the Children of the American Revolution Committee, and is on the Executive Board as the Chapter Historian.
Another passion and interest of Katherine’s is our United States of America service men and women and their families. One of Katherine’s sons is currently enlisted in the Marines. Katherine’s Father retired from military service as a full Colonel in the Army and served three tours in Vietnam, her Grandfather served in the Navy during WWII. An Uncle of Katherine’s retired from the Army and served in Vietnam as well, and another Uncle of Katherine’s served and retired from the National Guard. Katherine is extremely proud and grateful for her family members who served our country.
